The theme of this year’s TEDxSantaCruz was inspired by the Rise Together coalition, our initiative led by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color leaders working locally to advance racial equity.

How we help put your generosity to work

Community Grants
We have the privilege of stewarding charitable gifts from generous locals who want to see our community thrive. Together with our donors, we’ve awarded $251 million to community organizations over 42 years.
Scholarships
Thanks to generous and forward-thinking community members, the Community Foundation awards over $280,000 in scholarships each year. Over the past 42 years, the Foundation has awarded over $2 million in scholarships to nearly 500 students, most of them the first in their families to attend college!
